Summary:

We are seeking a skilled

Mechanical Design Engineer

to join our engineering team and contribute to the design and development of

conveyor systems

for industrial and commercial applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in mechanical design, proficiency in CAD tools, and a strong understanding of materials handling equipment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

(Include but not limited to the following)

Design and develop conveyor systems including belt, roller, chain, and custom conveyors. Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D CAD models of mechanical components and assemblies. Perform engineering calculations (e.g., belt tension, load distribution, shaft sizing, drive selection). Generate bills of materials (BOMs), assembly instructions, and fabrication drawings. Select mechanical components such as motors, gearboxes, bearings, and pulleys. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, controls, and manufacturing engineers. Ensure designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, ISO, CEMA), and client specifications. Support product development, prototyping, and on-site commissioning when required. Conduct design reviews and implement design-for-manufacturing (DFM) principles. Troubleshoot mechanical issues during production or installation.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 3-7 years of experience in mechanical project engineering, preferably with conveyor or material handling systems. Experience with simulation tools (e.g., SolidWorks Simulation, ANSYS). Knowledge of conveyor industry standards. Field installation or commissioning experience.
