to support ongoing and upcoming projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing piping and mechanical system designs, performing technical evaluations, and collaborating across disciplines to ensure alignment with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and review
mechanical and piping deliverables
such as P&IDs, equipment layouts, piping layouts, isometrics, material take-offs (MTOs), and line lists.
Execute and support
Front-End Engineering Design (FEED)
for oil & gas, petrochemical, power, or industrial projects.
Prepare and validate
equipment datasheets
, specifications, and requisitions for static and rotating equipment.
Perform technical evaluations of vendor bids and support procurement processes.
Interface with
Process, Civil, Structural, Electrical, and Instrumentation
teams to ensure integrated design.
Conduct
design reviews
(3D model reviews, HAZOPs, constructability).
Support cost estimation and provide technical input during project proposal and early-phase development.
Ensure compliance with
international codes and standards
(ASME, API, ANSI, etc.) and project-specific requirements.
Participate in
client meetings, site visits
, and liaise with third-party consultants as required.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
5-15 years
of relevant experience in mechanical and piping design, including a minimum of
3 years in FEED
projects.
Strong understanding of
FEED workflows, documentation, and deliverables
.
Experience using engineering design tools such as AutoCAD, SmartPlant, PDMS/E3D, Caesar II, and Navisworks.
Knowledge of static and rotating equipment design, piping materials, and pipe stress analysis.
Familiarity with engineering codes and standards such as ASME B31.3, B31.1, API, ASTM, and others.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with major EPC contractors or oil & gas operators.
Professional Engineering License (PE) or chartered status is a plus.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Experience in greenfield and brownfield project environments.
