Our requirements:
Professional experience as a Commercial Vehicle Mechanic
Knowledge of vehicle mechanics
Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults
Practical experience in heavy truck repairs
Good work organization and ability to work independently
Knowledge of specialized workshop equipment operation
Ability to work in a team
Your responsibilities:
Performing inspection and repairs of Commercial vehicles i.e. MAHINDRA, ASHOK LEYLAND etc.
Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards
Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts
Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
Performing technical inspections
Adjusting and replacing mechanical and electronic components
Determining causes of breakdowns and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
Operation and maintenance of workshop tools and equipment
Adjusting equipment and repairing or replacing any defective parts
Cleaning, lubricating, and performing other maintenance work
Diagnosing malfunctions or problems using a computerized system or testing equipment to determine the root cause of any issues
Repairing and verifying any emission control systems
Perform basic care and maintenance, including changing oil, checking fluid levels, and rotating tires
Repair or replace worn parts, such as brake pads, wheel bearings, and sensors
Perform repairs to manufacturer and customer specifications
Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended to the Workshop Supervisor / Manager
Communicates with service advisor / Supervisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order / Job Card
Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events.
Keeps abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins
Keeps the workshop area neat and clean
Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as when they were received.
Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor
Reports any safety issues immediately to management.
