Job Description

The purpose of this position is to supervise and lead a team of Civil Maintenance Cleaning & Grounds Technicians to provide effective maintenance cleaning and landscaping services for Dubai Metro.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and give guidance to a team of Civil Technicians (Maintenance Cleaning & Grounds) to carry out all aspects of landscape services. Key activities include tree pruning, lawn care, hedge trimming, application of fertilizer and agriculture goods, earth grading and drainage and sprinkler system maintenance in addition to managing landscape waste.
• Follow the appropriate procedures and work instructions of landscaping to ensure compliance with the requirements.
• Assist subordinates with the job familiarization and to provide training and assessment where required.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records of landscapes, landscape condition reports, work accomplished and other information.
• Ensure maintenance tools and equipment are in good condition.
• Assist the Civil Engineer (Maintenance Cleaning & Grounds) or other technical support staff to implement new projects.
• Perform line side activities, Pest Control and Platform Screen Door cleaning.
• Conduct performance review for Civil Technicians (Maintenance Cleaning & Ground).
• Maintain accurate maintenance records of landscapes, landscape condition reports, work accomplished and other information.
• Perform shift and emergency duties when required.
• Perform and carry out duties as instructed/ directed by the Civil Engineer (Maintenance Cleaning & Grounds).

• Ability to compile technical reports, routine business correspondence, prepare method statements and drawings as required.
• Possess good communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work productively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Experience in operating mobile boom, scaffolding and etc.
• Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Holder of a valid driving license with a good driving skill and experience.

• Must have minimum 4 years of relevant working experience in the maintenance of landscape, such as tree pruning, lawn care, hedge trimming, application of fertilizer and agriculture goods, landscape and environmental impact assessment, earth grading and drainage and sprinkler system maintenance.
• Must have minimum 3 years' of experience in supervising and leading a team of in-house maintenance activities or sub-contractor/third party contractors.
• Should have experience of compiling weekly/monthly reports, documentation/preparation for internal audits and excel presentations.
• Should have 1- year of supervisory experience in supervising a team of gardeners in landscape maintenance and repairs.
• Must have thorough understanding of the use, calibration and care of various gardener and landscaping equipment and ability to interpret instructions in a variety of written, verbal, pictorial forms in order to carry out the maintenance activities.

• Mush hold vocational trade certificate or diploma in Landscape Architecture or Civil Enngineering discipline or equivalent.
