Position Overview
GEMS World Academy - Dubai (GWA), an IB World School and part of GEMS Education, is inviting applications for Secondary Mathematics Teachers to join from August 2026. Established in 2008, GWA offers PYP, MYP, DP, and CP programmes, serving a diverse international community. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and inquiry-based Mathematics lessons aligned with IB MYP and DP frameworks
• Inspire and motivate students to achieve academic excellence through innovative strategies
• Assess, monitor, and guide student progress to ensure continuous improvement
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental teaching practices and curriculum design
• Contribute to extracurricular and enrichment activities to support holistic student development
• Align teaching with IB Learner Profile values and encourage critical thinking and problem-solving
• Participate actively in departmental initiatives and school-wide events

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor of Education degree, or bachelor's degree plus PGCE / PGDE in Mathematics
• Minimum 3 years' teaching experience in Secondary Mathematics
• IB teaching experience preferred, though not mandatory
• Advanced qualifications desirable
• Strong subject knowledge with proven classroom success
• Commitment to working in a non-selective, culturally diverse environment
• Availability from August 2026
