Key Responsibilities

• Research, analyze, and evaluate construction materials to determine technical suitability, performance, durability, and cost efficiency
• Select and recommend materials aligned with project specifications, quality standards, budgets, and low, medium, or high-cost options
• Calculate material quantities, consumption rates, and associated costs, including secondary and auxiliary materials
• Monitor material usage, wastage, and efficiency across projects and prepare detailed reports for engineers and management
• Align material resource codes with cost codes to support accurate cost tracking and financial control
• Investigate material-related structural or performance issues and advise on maintenance, repair, or replacement solutions
• Maintain and periodically update material databases, considering sustainability goals and environmental impact
• Provide technical recommendations to support efficient use of primary and secondary materials across developments

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Quantity Surveying
• Minimum fifteen years of relevant professional experience in the UAE
• Background in cost consultancy or contracting environments
• Strong understanding of construction materials, cost structures, and performance criteria
• Proven ability to analyze data, prepare technical reports, and support decision-making at senior levels
• High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English
