Job Description

The Materials Manager performs a leadership role as part of the plant-based team to support the Supply Chain strategy at MSA Responsible to manage all aspects of material flow and to maintain control over all goods inventories, including all transactions, sourcing material, planning, scheduling, warehouse, receiving and costs. Ensuring, production orders are fulfilled on time and customer satisfaction. Success in this role is depicted by achieving favorable results in delivery performance and inventory accuracy The Materials Manager will use lean tools and is responsible to drive initiatives towards Operational Excellence. Responsibilities

20% 1. Leadership, Staffing, and Development

· Leading the team, maintaining the right mix of skills, staff size, and development activities to achieve organizational objectives. · Collaboratively setting objectives and supervise the activities of team employees Evaluating, Empowering others by coaching and supporting collaborator aspirations to achieve development and plant future needs. Holding them accountable, and frequent feedback. · Proposing and implementing training plan for plant supply chain team · Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with individuals at all organizational levels, both inside and outside the Morocco plant

10% 2. EHS/ Quality

· Driving team safe practices to maintain working environment that are health and safety conscious · Engaging associates to participate in proactive safety and ergonomic programs including Behavior Based Safety, etc. · Ensuring systems and procedures for safety and environmental topics are followed by the team · Overseeing other corporate ISO procedures relating to the Materials Group. This includes training employees and monitoring adherence to the standards

20% 3. Production Planning

· Converting and maintaining the supply plan into production plans by coordinating all aspects of material planning, scheduling, ordering, receiving, flow and part delivery within the organization in line with company policies. · Conveying priorities for the team with the right sense of urgency and importance. · Reporting Materials related metrics to the organization.

20% 4. Delivery Performance

· Performing work center capacity and finite planning to achieve on time delivery to promise and to the market expected lead time. · Executing capacity planning in cooperation with production to ensure CX targets are met and staff as well as asset utilization is ensured · Set executable production plans. Managing inventory movement functions (delivery to production, receiving, shipping, etc) in timely manner, as defined by the customer. Performing accurate and timely inventory transactions.

10% 5. SAP

· Maintaining master data as standard work and hold that accountability through materials management organization. · Monitoring and ensuring accuracy of data in SAP as well as ensure accurate reporting of such data. · Driving ownership and awareness through the plant. · Serving as the Subject Matter Expert for relevant SAP modules in the organization. · Demonstrating a broad understanding of Supply Chain related matters.

15% 6. Continuous Improvement / Product Cost Reduction

· Creating, maintaining and executing material logistic strategies owning the control and movement of inventory (incl cycle counting), reviewing inventory adjustments, and implementing root cause and correcting action systems. · Overseeing timely and accurate movement of inventory inside the plant. · Managing accurate Blocked, Consignment, and QM-Stock inventories. · Managing inventory and controlling excess, leading Inactive and Obsolete process, which includes identification through physical disposal. · Collaborating with production personnel to resolve problems affecting production schedules. · As requested, acting as Project Manager locally or cross functional on Supply Chain matters in line with company requirements · Directing and prioritizing continuous improvement initiatives and fostering a continuous improvement culture in the team where the improvement ideas are derived and executed by the team

5% 6. NPD

· Collaborating with NPD and industrialization teams to introduce new products and process into production, on schedule and and manage PI/PO

Qualifications

High Level Requirements of Position: Experience (required): · Candidate will exhibit leadership qualities that reflect at least 3 years' experience in inventory management and supply chain management and should be proficient in data analysis and project management. · 3 years experience with ERP throughout is vital, particular modules MM and PP · Understands Supply chain Processes End To End like Forecast, SIOP, etc. · Good MS-office knowledge · Lean Material supply knowledge like KANBAN, JIT, one piece flow · Proven experience as change agent or continuous improvement leader in challenging existing business process approaches. . · Fluent English, written and verbal. Confident in business discussions Experience (preferred): · Advanced skills with Excel · Working experience in SAP: o Warehouse Management (WMS) o Material management o Production Planning o Inventory Control o ATO/KMAT o MRP · PowerBI · ERP system implementation · Bar coding, RF-scanners, lot control, serialization

Education (required): · Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain / Logistics / Business or Related Field Education (preferred): · Processional Certification such as ISM: CIPS / CPSM and or ASCM: CPIM / CSCP Travel: Estimated < 5% Budgetary Responsibility: Inventory
