Materials Inspector**

**Bahrain**

**What You'll Be Doing**

+ The Materials Inspector under general supervision, performs difficult and sometimes complex inspection tasks.

+ Inspects various facets of work on the construction site and performs continuous surveillance of assigned construction activities to ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and specifications.

+ Documents nonconformance and may participate in determining appropriate resolution.

+ Have full awareness of testing requirements.

+ Check material submissions and properly process approvals.

+ Visit factories to ensure proper manufacture and testing of materials produced.

+ Ensure materials delivered are as approved and are properly stored.

+ Assist in the development of testing procedures.

+ Keep up-to-date with new appropriate materials.

**What Required Skills You'll Bring**

+ Diploma in Civil Engineering with minimum 7 years relevant experience in laboratory materials testing including field inspection of samples and materials. Familiarity with all asphalt concrete and soil materials used in highway and bridge construction.

+ Familiarity with all asphalt concrete and soil materials used in highway and bridge construction.

+ Computer literacy and excellent communication skills are essential.

+ Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and construction specifications and be thoroughly familiar with construction-related processes related to area of assignment.

**What Desired Skills You'll Bring**

+ Must possess the ability to read working drawings and related specifications.
