As a Materials Controller you will be responsible to incumbent will contribute towards overall optimal materials management and control portfolio at QACC, assist the Materials Control and Management team in achieving set business objectives and milestones. He/she will be responsible for data collection from system/various departments related to food and non food items and providing the data to Materials Management for further analysis. Role will basically look into shop floor activities and involve in spot checks and flight checks.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform a check on internal controls mechanisms as advised by Materials Manager and provide feed back to Materials Management team for further handling. Conducts spot checks in Production, Assembly, Service Delivery and other food handling areas and inform Materials Management team for any discrepancies. Conducts checks on items delivered to flight as per the verification schedule issued by Materials Manager and update any discrepancies and act accordingly to the guidelines provided by Materials Management team Records, tracks, reports daily wastages via regular checks and spot checks in all areas to support Materials Control team to ensure that the wastages are recorded accurately. Coordinating with respective departments for arranging the product yield checks to improve product and manufacturing efficiency by following the schedule provided by Materials Management. Participating in monthly and yearly inventory exercises with internal and external stakeholders with their physical presence in shop floor and ensuring that the inventory counts are performed accurately. Collect wastage data from respective departments and coordinates with Environmental Specialist and updates environment related data for Environment team and Materials team analysis. Support Materials Control and management team in continued improvement (CI) initiatives by providing relevant data needed. Manages tracker for internal and external substitutions, by coordinating with respective teams for the substitutions and update Materials Manager on a monthly basis. Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

Qualifications

High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 3 years of job-related experience OR Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 2 years of job-related experience.

Job Specific Skills:

Good knowledge of MS Office tools such as Excel, PPT, Word etc. Knowledge of software like JD Edwards, Oracle and/or SAP Knowledge of food industry practices Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
