Material/Preservation Inspector

- Location: Qatar (Onshore)

Duration: 1 Year

To perform quality control and inspection activities during the manufacturing and testing of GRP subsea structures in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, and international codes and standards.

Responsibiilities:

Perform incoming material inspection of GRP raw materials (resins, fibers, fillers, etc.)Conduct in-process inspections during lay-up, molding, curing, and demolding of GRP laminatesMonitor dimensional inspections of GRP subsea structuresWitness and verify mechanical testing activitiesInspect painting or surface protection as per specificationWitness load testsMonitor handling, storage, preservation (raw materials and GRP structures), transportation, and load outRaise, record, and follow up on nonconformities and corrective actionsLiaise with Contractor / Subcontractor supervisory and QC personnelPerform quality compliance assessments and verificationsPrepare daily and weekly inspection reports

Quaalification:

Accredited Degree/Diploma in Polymer Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Composite Materials Engineering, or Polymer Science (or equivalent)Minimum 5 years of QC/Inspection experience, including 2 years in GRP/Composite structuresWorking knowledge of DNV-ST-C501 standardCertified Coating Inspector (NACE / AMPP / BGAS / CSWIP or equivalent) - Level 2.
