Job summary/Role description

Preservation Engineer (MPE) cooperates with the Construction, Material Control and Logistics groups to assure the timely and appropriate preservation of materials and equipment once received at site. MPE operates in compliance with the specifications, procedures, quality requirements and health/environmental/safety regulations during the course of activities.

Duties and responsibilities

Coordinates preservation (and de-preservation as necessary) of materials and equipment in compliance with vendor and project and specifications and procedures; Requisitions preservation equipment and tools as necessary; Prepares and issues preservation reports as required by the Field Engineering Manager; Initiates and maintains preservation recording; Requests, as necessary, relevant Permits to perform preservation activities.

Person Specification

Knowledge & Qualifications

University Degree or Diploma in relevant discipline or equivalent.

Experience

Significant experience in the industrial construction of large or XL gas plants. Covered a similar role in at least 2-3 projects of comparable size. A minimum of 10-15 years of relevant experience.

Skills and Abilities

Excellent communications and interpersonal skills Attention to detail, management skills. Team-oriented skills, self-motivation, and direction, with strong bias toward timely performance and problem resolution.
