Job Summary

The Materials Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the procurement, production planning, and logistics of materials within the organization. This position is responsible for ensuring that all materials are sourced, fabricated, and delivered efficiently to meet production demands while maintaining optimal inventory levels. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, lean manufacturing principles, and experience with Oracle EBS systems.

Responsibilities

Manage the end-to-end supply chain process, including logistics and production planning. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely procurement of materials. Oversee inventory management to optimize stock levels and reduce waste. Collaborate with production teams to forecast material needs based on demand. Implement lean manufacturing practices to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing. Utilize Oracle EBS systems for tracking inventory, orders, and supplier performance. Analyze data to identify trends and make informed decisions regarding material purchases. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations related to materials management.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is preferred. Proven experience in materials management or supply chain roles. Strong understanding of logistics, production planning, and procurement processes. Familiarity with Oracle EBS or similar enterprise resource planning systems. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices. Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build strong supplier relationships. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage multiple priorities.
