We are looking for a knowledgeable and experienced
Material Engineer
to join our interior fit-out team. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of
3 years of hands-on experience in the fit-out industry
, with strong expertise in selecting, evaluating, and approving materials used in interior design and construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
:
Evaluate and approve materials as per project specifications and design requirements.
Liaise with suppliers and vendors to source suitable materials for interior fit-out works.
Prepare and review material submittals, compliance documents, and samples.
Ensure all materials used meet project, quality, and regulatory standards.
Coordinate with project managers, design teams, procurement, and site engineers to ensure timely material selection and availability.
Maintain material logs, tracking sheets, and submittal registers.
Conduct technical evaluations and comparisons for material selection.
Stay updated with new materials, trends, and innovations in the fit-out and interior industry.
Requirements
:
Minimum
3 years of experience
as a
Material Engineer
in the
fit-out or interior construction industry
.
Strong knowledge of
interior materials
(wood, veneers, metals, finishes, fabrics, paints, etc.).
Familiarity with local and international material standards and specifications.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in
MS Office
,
AutoCAD
, and material tracking systems.
Degree/Diploma in
Materials Engineering
,
Interior Design
,
Architecture
, or related field.
Preferred
:
Experience working on
commercial
,
hospitality
, or
luxury residential
fit-out projects.
UAE or GCC work experience is a strong advantage.
