We are seeking a skilled Mason to perform bricklaying, block work, plastering, and other masonry tasks for various construction projects. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in masonry techniques, a strong understanding of construction materials, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Key Responsibilities:
Lay bricks, concrete blocks, stones, and other materials to construct or repair walls, partitions, arches, and structures.
Mix mortar, cement, and other materials as required.
Perform plastering, tiling, and related finishing tasks.
Read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and blueprints.
Measure, cut, and shape materials to ensure proper fit and alignment.
Repair and maintain existing masonry structures.
Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards.
Collaborate with other construction workers, foremen, and engineers to meet project deadlines.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Mason in the construction industry.
Knowledge of various masonry materials, tools, and techniques.
Ability to work from blueprints, drawings, and technical instructions.
Physical strength and stamina to perform manual labor.
Attention to detail and craftsmanship skills.
Basic understanding of workplace safety standards.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Technical training or certification in masonry is an advantage.
