Job Summary

The Marketing Services Manager will be accountable for managing local marketing teams based in Middle East. They will be responsible for creating local marketing plans based on the strategic direction of the business and in conjunction with Sales and other stakeholders. The successful candidate will be highly organised with proven relationship building and influencing skills at all levels. He/She will be commercially focused with end-to-end marketing experience ideally within the technology industry.

The role is based in Dubai, reporting into the Head of Marketing Services, MEA. Moreover, there will be some ad-hoc travel throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the central marketing strategy and plans are implemented locally through co-ordination with the central teams
  • Provide feedback on central initiatives, plans, campaigns and collateral
  • Represent the local market in review meetings with central marketing and ensure that central plans are effectively communicated throughout the local organization
  • Responsible for the planning, forecasting and co-ordination of all marketing budgets and reporting, as required
  • Accountable for achieving the required ROI for all local marketing activities
  • Ensure all localization activity is managed accurately and efficiently (e.g. translation checks).
  • Effectively manage a team of marketing professionals
Channel Marketing:
  • Manage the local Channel Marketing function to ensure that all activities are planned and implemented to drive sales and that marketing best practice is applied
  • Understand how the various revenue reduction mechanisms can be used to leverage sales. Determine the budget available and plan and manage it in conjunction with local Sales Managers
  • Ensure that local channel partner programmes are proactively supported
  • Plan and manage the local Channel Marketing Budget in conjunction with local Sales Managers and ensure that channel insights are used to develop activities that deliver increasing ROI
PR & Communications:
  • Plan and manage the local PR & Social media function to ensure that central plans are implemented locally to agreed KPIs
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with local journalists and industry commentators to ensure that Epson retains a positive competitive profile within the local media and social networks
  • Co-ordinate and moderate internal communications, including local intranet
Events:
  • Manage the local events and sponsorship function to ensure that central plans are implemented locally to meet agreed KPIs
Web:
  • Ensure that the local website, partner portal, and intranet are maintained accurately and on time
  • Deliver & ensure an excellent online presence with key e-tailers
  • Provide feedback to the central online team for electronic direct mail (EDM), online tools, websites and other online content
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Strong Marketing Management experience, developing departmental plans covering all areas of marketing
  • Previous experience working in a matrix organisation, ideally within a comparable industry
  • Educated to degree or equivalent level with a marketing specialism
  • Strong commercial mindset
  • Experience of channel marketing and driving its impact on sales
  • Knowledge and marketing experience of different channels - B2B, B2C, e-tailer
  • Solid experience managing a team
  • A pro-active manager who can meet challenging deadlines in a fast paced, changing business environment
  • Strong problem-solving, communication and influencing skills
  • Excellent written and spoken English, Arabic is ideal
