The Marketing Product Manager is responsible for owning the end-to-end marketing strategy and lifecycle of assigned grocery/FMCG product categories. This role ensures products are competitively positioned, commercially successful, and aligned with consumer insights, while driving growth across retail and trade channels.
Key Responsibilities:
Product & Brand Management
Manage assigned product portfolios across grocery/FMCG categories from launch to phase-out.
Define and execute product positioning, value propositions, and brand architecture.
Lead new product development (NPD) and renovation projects in collaboration with R&D and supply chain.
Monitor product performance, pricing, margins, and promotional effectiveness.
Market & Consumer Insights
Conduct market research, competitor benchmarking, and consumer analysis.
Translate insights into go-to-market strategies and product innovation.
Track FMCG trends, retailer dynamics, and shopper behavior.
Marketing Strategy & Execution
Develop and execute annual marketing plans aligned with commercial targets.
Plan and manage ATL, BTL, and digital campaigns.
Coordinate packaging, POS materials, trade marketing tools, and in-store activations.
Ensure brand consistency across all channels.
Sales & Trade Marketing Collaboration
Work closely with Sales, Key Accounts, and Trade Marketing teams.
Support sales with product stories, launch toolkits, and training materials.
Collaborate on promotions, pricing strategies, and retailer negotiations.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Act as the key marketing liaison between Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, and external agencies.
Manage agencies (creative, media, digital) and third-party partners.
Own marketing budgets and ensure ROI-driven spend.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Market share growth
Revenue and margin performance
Brand awareness and penetration
New product launch success
Campaign ROI and execution excellence
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
4-8+ years of experience in FMCG or grocery product/brand management.
Strong understanding of retail environments, distributor models, and trade marketing.
Proven experience in product launches and portfolio management.
Experience working with cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments.
