Currently we are seeking a Marketing Manager who will be responsible for leading, planning, implementing and executing marketing strategies and campaigns for our Global Business Forum events.
Accountabilities
How you will contribute:
Conduct relevant industry research and gain a solid understanding of the markets/industries that are being targeted and what the competition is doing
Develop strategic event marketing and social media plans that include best-in-class practices and channels and gain buy in from the client to execute said plans
Take end-to-end ownership of all aspects of the marketing plan especially with regards to external suppliers or tasks which have been delegated to the Marketing Exec i.e. follow ups, double checking delivery is satisfactory, etc.
Manage and work to event budgets and achieve KPIs (i.e. event delegate target, high-level guest acquisition, conversion and retention KPIs)
Copywriting for websites, emails and social media and obtaining Senior Marketing Manager\xe2\x80\x99s and client\xe2\x80\x99s approvals for all materials before disseminating
Generate content via interviews with speakers, video creation, infographics for use throughout the marketing campaign
Undertake outbound email marketing via Mail Chimp EMS (or equivalent), creating and scheduling communications with approved target audience and messaging
Work to KPI of 60% of delegate conversion rate and VIP registrations to come from email marketing via a strong retention campaign
Identify potential relationships with marketing partners including business associations, media partners and academic institutes and then manage those relationships
Develop a comprehensive data plan and conduct analysis on existing data to create a strong data pool for use throughout the campaign
Work with the Marketing Executive to promote the events on social media, generate awareness and drive traffic to the website
Regularly report on marketing plan/campaign performance and adjust where necessary if the desired results are not being achieved
Present post event marketing summaries including, but not limited to; web and email analytics, delegate survey responses, print and digital advertising, press coverage reports from PR agencies, in a timely manner and in collaboration with Senior Marketing Manager
Assist Senior Marketing Manager to execute marketing tasks and manage relationship with the client as required
Experience, skills and professional attributes
The ideal skills for this role are:
5+ years\xe2\x80\x99 proven relevant event marketing experience (preference given to conference marketing and industry events experience)
Excellent written and spoken English and proof-reading skills
Commitment to standards of excellence with attention to detail
Experience with client management and has strong presentation skills
Familiar with digital event execution e.g. webinars
Solid understanding of delegate acquisition, digital marketing and new media channels and the ability to explain (to non-marketers) how each of these works
Proficient with marketing and analytics systems such as Google Analytics, Mailchimp, Salesforce, Cvent (or equivalents) and back-end website editing tools like Wordpress
Handles constructive criticism professionally and is willing to change plans/work based on client feedback
Familiar with the importance of data and how best to use it in order to target the right audience
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize accordingly and work to tight budgets and deadlines
