A senior leadership level role, the Director of Marketing is responsible for the overarching brand strategy and audience engagement across all channels and activations to maximise the growth of the Sexy Fish brand as defined by established business strategy and financial targets. In addition, its essential the Marketing Director works closely with senior finance, HR and operations leaders to ensure seamless communication, and that all possible efficiencies and opportunities are successfully realised across the business.
HIGH LEVEL RESPONSIBILITIES \xe2\x81\x83 Maintain a high level of awareness and desirability for the Sexy Fish Dubai brand, acting as its brand guardian \xe2\x81\x83 Drive reservations through carefully planned, strategic campaign activity, maximising special events and calendar dates \xe2\x81\x83 Maintain the individual appeal of the restaurant and manage a localised PR & Marketing strategy \xe2\x81\x83 Increase guest loyalty and the frequency of repeat guest visits \xe2\x81\x83 Reduce acquisition costs whilst ensuring the levels of personal guest service are maintained \xe2\x81\x83 Grow market share in both reservations and private dining against direct competitors \xe2\x81\x83 Maintain and enhance Sexy Fish\xe2\x80\x99s reputation as an immersive market leader in the Dubai dining sector \xe2\x81\x83 Ensure the Reservations, Marketing and Events teams are working collaboratively to achieve the business objectives
MARKETING, PROGRAMMING AND PR \xe2\x81\x83 Create an engaging and innovative marketing calendar with both major seasonal, and short term tactical campaigns \xe2\x81\x83 Work with a 6-12 month lead, to plan the restaurant\xe2\x80\x99s participation on major calendar moments and celebrations \xe2\x81\x83 Cultivate and sustain desire around the brand executing marketing leading tentpole events and captivating regular programming \xe2\x81\x83 Manage the strategy and implementation of creative campaigns across on and offline channels both externally and internally \xe2\x81\x83 Work with key brand partners \xe2\x80\x93 brands, organisations and celebrities \xe2\x80\x93 to increase profile, awareness and audience reach \xe2\x81\x83 Lead and oversee all internal communications in order to deliver successful strategies and implementation \xe2\x81\x83 Manage a locally appointed PR agency to ensure we are securing impactful local and national coverage \xe2\x81\x83 Establish and manage a successful, on-brand influencer program to optimise our audience engagement \xe2\x81\x83 Provide support in any and all crisis communication as required \xe2\x81\x83 Create and implement a comprehensive social media strategy across multiple channels \xe2\x81\x83 Maximise marketing investment from drinks suppliers, and other sponsors, to create and support large scale activations \xe2\x81\x83 Generate awareness and engagement around the launches of new programming, menus, offerings, packages and promotions \xe2\x81\x83 Implement and develop a digital acquisition strategy, utilising audience data profiling and working across multiple channels \xe2\x81\x83 Streamline the digital platforms to gain cost efficiencies, improve guest experience and increase conversion \xe2\x81\x83 Create forward thinking CRM / loyalty strategies to maximise customer engagement and encourage repeat bookings \xe2\x81\x83 Lead and execute email marketing strategies, analysing opening and click through rates to improve engagement \xe2\x81\x83 Take responsibility for all local messaging, copywriting and content creation \xe2\x81\x83 Segment customer data to tailor marketing tactics, enhance product offering and identify new target audiences \xe2\x81\x83 Monitor customer behaviour and sentiment to improve guest experience, identify opportunities and pinpoint efficiencies \xe2\x81\x83 Train, manage and support reporting marketing team members, as well as external agencies & consultants
EXPERIENCE, SALES SUPPORT, ANALYSIS AND REPORTING \xe2\x81\x83 Concept and create tools, assets, content and materials to assist the sales team with PDR and event sales \xe2\x81\x83 Work with the sales team to ensure the restaurant has a seamless enquiry and booking journey \xe2\x81\x83 Provide input and support around ways to upsell, to assist with growing and maintaining average spend \xe2\x81\x83 Monitor any issues, supporting operations in reducing complaint volumes and/or any negative sentiment online \xe2\x81\x83 Contribute to the creation of yield strategies to maximise days and times of high demand \xe2\x81\x83 Be part of the conversation around guest profiling, preferences and optimising our data culture \xe2\x81\x83 Analyse weekly and monthly sales by daypart in order to understand the commercial performance of the business \xe2\x81\x83 Keep tabs on the Dubai dining sector performance, key openings / closures and direct competitor commercial fortunes \xe2\x81\x83 Watch the activity of other key, in-market luxury hospitality businesses, especially around programming and partner events \xe2\x81\x83 Provide weekly reports on current, short lead and longer lead marketing activity \xe2\x81\x83 Feed back commentary on experience and offering from regulars, journalists and partners to tweak guest experience
PERSON PROFILE The successful candidate for this role will be a highly experienced hospitality marketing and audience engagement professional with 10+ years experience working with top tier brands, and with significant on the ground role(s) in the Middle East market. Impeccably presented, this individual will be intimately familiar with employing a mix of brand communications, tactical outreach, strategic PR, major event and regular programming excellence, digital and social fluency, and customer relationship management to grow and enhance the businesses. Someone that understands customer data, segmentation, campaign planning, customer journeys A proven management executive and team player, used to managing and motivating reporting staff, as well as responsibility for deliverables and budgets, the Director of Marketing will form part of the senior management team responsible for the overall reputation, efficiency and commercial success of the restaurant.
