Job Title: Marketing Communications Assistant Department: Marketing & Admissions Start Date: March 2023 Reports to: Head of Marketing & Admissions Job Scope: The Marketing Communications Executive will be responsible for social media planning, content and videos promoting the school. There is a potential of doing some design work too if the successful candidate possesses Adobe Creation skills. Main Duties and Responsibilities Social Media:
Source social media stories from across the school that best represent and showcase school life
Social media content creation, proofreading and editing articles and publications
Editing of photographs using Photoshop
Creation of videos for social media purposes
Managing all digital assets (photographs) to facilitate access and archiving
Designing and creating the content for the relevant channels
Planning weekly schedules of postings on different platforms, e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn for the school, boarding and sport.
Monitoring the existing platforms and making approved responses as required
Following educational specialists on social media to look for opportunities on to contribute to discussions online and build relationships with them
Ongoing analysis of social media performance \xe2\x80\x93 users, engagement, and traction to maximise effectiveness.
Admissions:
Assist with admissions enquiries and tours
Ongoing communication with prospective parents after the school tours and visits
Other:
Assists in creating promotional materials, including prospectus, magazines, digital advertising, offline advertising, year book etc.
Design of marketing material using Adobe Suite
Support the team in delivering key events
Manage the content for Internal digital screens
Create survey\xe2\x80\x99s as and when required to gain insights
Assist the Head of Marketing & Admissions in creating a view of the Parent Communication Cycle to enable us to make improvements to parent communications (for both new and existing)
To represent the school at conferences, fairs and exhibitions some of which maybe during out of hours (weekends, evenings)
General:
Regularly review other schools\xe2\x80\x99 activity and changes in the schools\xe2\x80\x99 market
Create marketing reports
Ensure compliance of all school administrative processes and procedures for inspections
Appreciate and support the role of other professionals and establish constructive relationships and communicate with other organisations and individuals as required
Participate in training and development activities and programmes
Attend and participate in meetings as required
Comply with, and assist with the development of policies and procedures, and report all concerns to an appropriate person, in respect of:
Child protection
Health, safety and security
Confidentiality, and
Data Protection
Perform any other duties as requested by the Head of Marketing & Admissions as commensurate with the post
Research and analyse market trends, prepare report benchmarking with other schools regarding fees, curriculum, other value-added services, etc.
Conduct parents survey to identify the areas for school improvements
Develop and create content that promotes the school\'s achievements.
Review, develop and explore new communication channels for existing and prospective parents
Competitor offerings and demographics to identify opportunities for promotion and growth
Marketing strategies to improve the student retention and overall enrolment growth
Planning and carrying out PR campaigns and strategies
Coordinate parent/community events to engage parents in school activities and celebrations
Key Relationships Internal: Marketing & Admissions Team, HR, Students, Teachers External: Parents, Regulators, Outside Agencies Position Requirements Education: Degree in Marketing or related subject Experience and skills:
Experience in an education environment is an advantage
Knowledge of all key social media channels
Experience and knowledge of website back-end systems
Google Analytics, SEO and PPC understanding an advantage
Creative skills \xe2\x80\x93 Adobe Suite an advantage
Video creation and strong photography skills
French or German spoken language an advantage
Strong customer experience focus
Strong IT skills in all MS packages, Mailchimp, Wordpress
