Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced
Manual Lathe / CNC Metal Operator
to join our precision machining team. The ideal candidate should be capable of operating both manual and CNC machines to produce high-quality metal components according to engineering specifications.Key Responsibilities:
Operate manual lathes and CNC machines to perform turning, drilling, and milling operations. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders. Set up machines, tools, and materials for each job. Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining. Measure and inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges). Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and work area. Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Requirements:
Proven experience operating both manual and CNC lathe machines. Strong understanding of machining techniques and metalworking processes. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. Familiarity with Fanuc or Siemens CNC controls (preferred). Basic knowledge of programming and tool path adjustments (a plus). Good math skills and mechanical aptitude. Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
