This role involves active engagement and participation in all SAM court cases in the UAE at all stages of litigation, in coordination with the Legal Department, to ensure the litigation process is conducted in a timely and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will develop, evaluate, and implement strategies for managing litigation, provide legal opinions and advice on the appropriate litigation process for classified accounts, with the goal of minimizing losses and provisions, and maximizing recovery from SAM accounts under litigation. All activities should be coordinated with the Legal Department, which is the ultimate stakeholder of the litigation function within the Bank. Improve the litigation process in coordination with the Legal Department, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and court procedures. Job Accountabilities Description

Ensure all members of the SAM litigation unit team work efficiently. Work closely with the Legal Department, focusing on legal processes related to classified accounts assigned to SAM. Represent the SAM Department on all litigation legal matters, primarily at the execution stage, advising with the Legal Department and overseeing complex legal issues related to the accounts under litigation, ensuring the BankaEUR(TM)s interests are protected according to applicable laws and best practices. Coordinate with internal and external legal counsels to identify appropriate legal strategies and follow up on legal proceedings within the assigned portfolio. Liaise with law enforcement authorities (e.g., police, public prosecutions, courts, judicial committees). Coordinate with external lawyers/counsels on ongoing litigation processes. Maintain updated records of all litigation reports related to court cases involving SAM accounts. Maintain updated electronic and indexed court case files. Manage and supervise the SAM litigation team, plan KPIs, train team members, and conduct performance appraisals. Monitor payments of external legal fees and related litigation costs. Regularly assess the performance of external law firms. Qualifications BacheloraEUR(TM)s degree in Law from a recognized university. Experience Minimum 5 years of legal litigation experience with competence in relevant laws and legal provisions. Full understanding of banking concepts, procedures, and best practices. Job Specific Skills Strong knowledge of legal operations. Ability to analyze situations, strategize, and select the best course of action. Excellent command of English.
