Job Description



JOB PURPOSE :
To review credit data management processes, recommending improvements, overseeing credit risk platforms and manage systems development, enhancements or changes, implementing and supporting the implementation of new systems from credit risk perspective in order to optimise resource utilisation, minimise associated costs and improve workflow/productivity

ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Lead projects from risk perspective liaising with stakeholders for completion in order to keep them updated on progress and to identify areas of concern that need to be addressed
Support automation efforts of other credit risk teams and share expertise in data architecture and extraction in order to promote best practices in risk data management

2. Management of Credit Systems
Manage credit risk systems databases and collaborate with the relevant stakeholders in order to maintain and improve the systems
In conjunction with IT, conduct regular reviews of database design, system mapping, logic, data extraction and report generation in order to provide fit for purpose solutions within budget
Support implementation of new systems by other units in the bank to ensure the credit risk perspective is adequately incorporated in the same
Design, run and maintain the Risk Adjusted Return on Capital (RAROC) and other dashboards for ensuring maintenance and use of best practices, industry benchmarks, credit policy compliance and portfolio quality standards in order to identify and recommend improvement areas

3.Data Management Framework
Act as back-up for data management function maintaining the required data, reviewing the data extracted and stored to ensure compliance with the Data Management Functions requirements
Design, build and maintain master risk database in order to serve as credit risk\xe2\x80\x99s single source of information
Integrate where required data from ADCB\xe2\x80\x99s subsidiaries into HO DataMart\xe2\x80\x99s to ensure accuracy of database

4.External stakeholders like CBRB, AECB, Auditors etc.
Ensure data submission with predefined frequency in a timely manner to all regulatory / external bodies.

5.People Management
Manage self and team in line with ADCB\xe2\x80\x99s people management policies, procedures, processes and practices to ensure adherence and to maximise own and employee contribution to business performance
Manage the effective achievement of the team\xe2\x80\x99s objectives through setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing the team and providing formal and informal feedback to maximise overall performance, engagement and motivation

6.Budget Management
Contribute to the preparation of the business area\xe2\x80\x99s budget and manage and monitor the financial performance against the budget so that areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified, rectified promptly and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalised upon

7.Policies, Processes, Systems and Procedures
Recommend and implement improvements to departmental policies, procedures and processes covering all areas of activity so that all relevant procedural requirements are fulfilled while ensuring that ADCB delivers best-in-class services, products and innovation

8.Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities to contribute to organisational and departmental change initiatives, programmes and projects taking into account best practice and standards in the business environment

9.Customer Service
Demonstrate Our Promise and apply the ADCB Service Standards to deliver the bank\xe2\x80\x99s required levels of service in all internal and external customer interactions

Skills

At least 5 years of experience in risk reporting with experience in credit risk and systems and experience in report design and automation using SQL, and SAS.

Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science

Knowledge of banking products/services and accounting concepts
MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access)
Database Management and Administration/Programming Languages
Good programming skills especially in SQL. Understanding of SAS along with SQL is preferred.
Bank IT Systems Knowledge/Application Architecture and Integration
Business Support Systems Knowledge/CAD Systems Knowledge
Credit MIS Design and Review
Ability to manage relationship with different stakeholders
Written and spoken English
