Job Overview
As Manager of Retail Design at Majid Al Futtaim Properties, you will ensure tenant stores are delivered in alignment with the Asset Management Business Unit's Retail Design Criteria. You will guide retail partners from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery, design quality, and alignment with the mall's customer experience goals. You will also support the integration of sustainability initiatives and optimize space planning for better performance.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead tenant briefing sessions on Retail Design Criteria (RID) and ensure alignment with asset branding and customer expectations
• Review and approve retail design concepts and detailed drawings in coordination with mall development timelines
• Collaborate with tenants, design consultants, and mall teams to minimize delays and prevent rent loss
• Deliver constructive, clear, and timely design feedback to reduce review cycles
• Monitor site works, fit-out progress, and compliance during execution phases
• Perform Green Star sustainability assessments for design projects
• Coordinate design forums to share feedback and accelerate approvals
• Manage project milestones using internal CRM systems and ensure timely stakeholder updates
• Strengthen partnerships with retail brands, suppliers, authorities, and internal design departments

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Retail Design, or related field
• Minimum 4 years of experience in retail design, including experience in F&B or shopping mall environments
• Proven experience in retail brand design, creative agencies, or mall design management
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to assess technical drawings, spatial planning, and aesthetic appeal
• Strong observational and problem-solving skills with a customer-centric mindset
• High emotional intelligence and capability to engage with senior business leaders
