When you think of food delivery in the MENA region, we'd be pretty surprised if talabat didn't pop into your mind first! Since delivering our first order in Kuwait in 2004, we've grown quite a lot over the past 17 years.

Today, we deliver hundreds of millions of food orders, grocery items and other products per year, to our customers in nine countries throughout the region with more than 3,000+ employees! Our food delivery business works with over 27,000 brands and almost 50,000 branches, while our q-commerce concept, talabat mart, now delivers groceries to customers in Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman Qatar, and the UAE in 30 minutes or less!

Job scope/ Core Responsibilities

Play a key role in addressing the future payment needs of a fast growing business, serving a customer base that is fast moving online Drive talabat's acceptance strategy in line with business needs and evolving payments landscape Identify and drive initiatives that lead to improvements in (1) acceptance rates, (2) fraud controls, (3) payment incidents, (4) processing costs, (5) platform enhancements Draft performance management reports on the payments portfolio across markets Work with multiple internal stakeholders from various departments and external stakeholders including but not limited to acquirers, PSPs etc Lead negotiations with external partners to develop new relationships in addition to managing existing relations Keep up to speed with market trends to benchmark the performance and the setup with the market level, to capture relevant opportunities, and to drive innovation Support annual and bi-annual target setting exercise, and to constantly monitor achievement against set targets

What Did We Order? Good understanding of online payments as a whole, from business and operations perspective Self driven with a high sense of ownership and require minimal supervision 5+ years of payments experience in MENA in an eCommerce business or PSP Knowledge of the capabilities of third party players whom we might consider working with such as PSPs, acquirers, APMs, and new payment technologies Excellent presentation and stakeholder management skills Comfortable driving multiple initiatives in parallel, across a variety of stakeholders
