Synopsis
In this role, you will lead the design, development, and application of advanced analytical, optimization, and machine learning models to enhance revenue management systems and drive innovation in pricing, demand forecasting, and inventory control. Ensure Etihad leverages cutting-edge OR techniques to improve decision-making, to capitalize on revenue opportunities
Accountabilities

• Identify opportunities for innovation in forecasting, dynamic pricing, and offer optimization.
• Evaluate emerging technologies (AI/ML, reinforcement learning, cloud-based optimization) and integrate them into RM solutions.
• Anticipate industry trends (e.g., continuous pricing, offer/order transformation, retailing).
• Oversee the design and enhancement of optimization models (e.g., seat inventory control, bid-price optimization, network optimization).
• Drive innovation in demand forecasting, dynamic pricing, customer segmentation, and ancillary revenue optimization.
• Conduct R&D pilots and scale successful concepts into enterprise-level solutions.
• Partner with internal IT & Analytics teams to embed OR models into production systems & reports.
• Ensure scalability, robustness, and explainability of deployed models.
• Lead proof-of-concept pilots and transition them into operational solutions.
• Work with RM analysts, pricing, scheduling, network planning, and digital teams to ensure solutions meet business needs.
• Collaborate with innovation labs, universities, and research partners to stay ahead of academic and industry developments
• Establish KPIs to measure model performance, business impact, and forecast accuracy.
• Continuously refine models based on business feedback and market changes.
• Represent Etihad at industry forums to discuss current RM and commercial trends (AGIFORIS)

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's or master's degree in operations research, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics or Management Science.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in operations research, designing and applying optimization models, R&D pilots scaling successful concepts into enterprise level solutions.
• Role to be based in Abu Dhabi full time (no hybrid or remote work).
