Overview:

NESMA, a leading industry conglomerate in the Saudi market and G42, a technology company from the UAE, are joining forces to co-deliver solutions at the intersection of infrastructure and technology and drive value for KSAs priority projects and entities. The main purpose of this JV is to market the joint offering of NESMA and G42, identify business opportunities and route these opportunities to the relevant business units.

The main purpose of the Manager - Business operations role is to drive the strategic & operational set-up of Nesma Ventures, JV between G42 and NESMA for the KSA market. A key task of the manager business operations is to support the GM of the JV to deliver on priorities as defined by the Board, primarily identifying large-scale opportunities across G42 and NESMAs technology portfolios. The role requires collaboration with corporate functions, business units, (technical) client teams as well as management of service providers (e.g., office, IT infra, logistics). Responsibilities:

• Independently define business priorities for the JV (priority account identification, operational requirements)
• Develop solid understanding of technology portfolios of JV partners, and support with lead identification
• Support with monitoring and management of opportunities (from generation to RFP submission and quality control)
• Work cross-functionally with technology businesses, clients as well as corporate functions
• Advise business units in defining preferred target operating model to deliver opportunities
• Provide country-specific market insights, from e.g. local market intel, business reports and support identification of local subject-matter-experts where required
• Lead initial activation of JV vis-a-visa stakeholders in KSA, representing the JV in major events, conferences
• Operationalize office and set-up & source basic infrastructure and define core processes to activate operations
• Oversee the budget of the JV and manage & oversee service providers
• Prepare quarterly board meetings (e.g., identify topics, develop materials, cascade actions)
• Identify risks and propose mitigation measures

Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Strategy or related fields
• 3-4 years of experience in consulting or investment banking
• Interest & experience in technology & advanced analytics previous projects in telecommunications, Digitization strategies & implementation, etc. preferred
• Excellent project management skills: Highly organized and pragmatic in the identification of issues and potential options and solutions
• Results oriented and high degree of accountability
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English: clear, concise, and conveys key information tailored for the relevant audience
• Experience working cross functionally & internationally with different platforms and diverse set of counterparts
• Strong teamwork and stakeholder management skills
