Manager of School Operations

Al Futtaim Education Foundation is looking to appoint an experienced and dedicated Manager of School Operations for each of our wonderful school campuses located in Dubai Festival City, Deira International School and Universal American School.

The Manager of School Operations plays a key role in our schools. In this position, you will be entrusted with the responsibility to implement and manage standard operating procedures and ensure that the school functions smoothly on a day-to-day basis. Additionally, you will provide strategic support to the School Director by formulating and leading non-academic aspects of the School improvement plan.

Responsibilities

• Support the School Director in implementing the agreed business strategy for the School.
• Embrace and encourage the ethos and standards of excellence as defined in the Al Futtaim Values.
• Development and implementation of policies, systems, processes and student safeguarding measures.
• Lead the recruitment, professional development, appraisal and training of the operations team.

• Act as the responsible person for HSE effectiveness and ensure the School complies with current Health & Safety legislation and/or guidelines, advising the School Leadership team accordingly.
• Drive a positive and proactive health and safety culture throughout your teams and act as a champion for health and safety.
• Support the School Director in establishing school specific health, safety and environmental related aims and objectives.
• Ensure all health, safety and environmental related inspections are completed in line with Al Futtaim Education Foundation standards.
• Ensure that schools are fully compliant with local government authority regulations.
• Ensure all internal and external audits are effectively co-ordinated.
• Understand the effects and implications of government policies, legislation and directives, developing effective strategies for current initiatives and long-term educational trends and developments.
• Be responsible for the procurement and maintenance of staff accommodation.
• Manage the use of school facilities in provision of Third-Party services.

Requirements:

• Minimum a BA, or equivalent (advanced) diploma / Certificate of School Business Management / Facilities Management / NEBOSH or IOSH
• At least 5 years\' experience working in a complex operational leadership role, ideally in a school environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of relevant local laws and legislation such as KHDA/Dubai Municipality/Civil Defence
