Oversees and runs all membership-related offers, services and events. Runs the Middle East operations and enables membership growth in the region.
The Middle East office in Dubai is a brand new IAAPA office. You will be the one starting our Middle East operations. For this role we are looking for a self-starting and pro-active individual who is not shy of a challenge.
Position Description:
Management and update of membership database including member payments, respond to member inquiries
Oversee membership dues invoicing & collections procedures for members
Support targeted membership marketing to engage with current members, improve retention, and facilitate new member recruitment, Optimize EMEA membership recruitment and renewal
Plan and execute or support with meetings and events in the Middle East region, consistent with IAAPA\xe2\x80\x99s standards as a world-class exhibition and event producer for the amusement park and attractions industry
Monitor and report on monthly global membership events and activities
Support and engage with members to provide them information on IAAPA products and services
Develop relationships with current members and act as a resource to members
Continuously build brand identity and develop creative approaches for member communication
Coordinate and collaborate with the IAAPA EMEA team
Support Education Manager with education programme planning
Support membership duties within IAAPA Expo Europe, supporting all member service needs
Assist industry / member research and analysis to identify prospects, trends in the industry
Main contact person for our IAAPA Middle East office, including all operational duties
Required skills and qualifications:
Independent self-starter with professional representation skills
Have a good understanding of the local market and extensive connections in the local attractions industry
2-4 years of experience in database management, marketing and / or event management
Strong time-management and people skills, high degree of flexibility, and excellent multitasking ability
Proficiency with office applications, and aptitude for learning new software and systems
Ability to maintain confidentiality of company information
Be an effective communicator both, verbal and written in English
Interest for and/or experience from the attractions industry
Some travel required
Preferred skills and qualifications:
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or equivalent
Multilingual \xe2\x80\x93 besides English you are able to communicate in Arabic
Advanced computer skills and experience with online platforms
Driver\'s license
