Overview

The Manager, Internal Audit manages the delivery of professional, objective and impactful Internal Audit (IA) services to Mubadala Health assets and Units. This includes managing the annual planning, engagement execution and followup activities for a portfolio of assets or engagements in line with IA Division methodology requirements. The Manager,Internal Audit develops strong relationships with key stakeholders from across the organization and provides insights that make a positive difference.

Responsibilities
  • Undertakes all relevant activities in line with the Division\xe2\x80\x99s policies and procedures, including the IA Manual and IA Delegation of Authority.
  • Creates, develops and maintains strong relationships with organization management, outside of engagement execution, to keep abreast of
management\xe2\x80\x99s changing business needs.
  • Escalates overdue action plans to organization Senior Management for appropriate intervention.
  • Ensure that the organization is complying with relevant laws and statutes.
  • Evaluate internal control and make recommendations on how to improve.
  • Supports with the development of a dynamic risk-based organization IA plan by managing the delivery of the risk assessment and annual planning activities for a portfolio of assets and/ or Assets. This involves proposing engagements for inclusion in Assets and organization plans, including the scope, timing and required resources.
  • Acts as the Engagement Manager* (EM) for multiple concurrent or large and/or complex engagements within the asset/engagement portfolio.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day project management of the engagements across planning, fieldwork and reporting, ensuring delivery of high quality assurance and advice, on time and to budget.
  • Establishes and maintains regular coordination between the Director - Internal Audit and Risk Management, Management and the engagement team on the progress of the asset/ engagement portfolio, ensuring corrective actions are taken to address any identified issues impacting the engagement plan.
  • Regularly monitors and reports on the progress of management action plans for their asset/ engagement portfolio, facilitating the effective and timely implementation of management action plans. This involves guiding action owners (where necessary), challenging revised due dates, escalating overdue actions and managing the verification of closed actions.
  • Supports and coaches engagement teams throughout the engagement lifecycle, to facilitate the correct application of the IA methodology, and enhance the teams\xe2\x80\x99 functional and leadership competencies.
  • Supports the Director - Internal Audit and Risk Management with the organization and Assets reporting, as delegated.
  • Plans, manages and reviews direct reports\xe2\x80\x99 performance to track that their performance and development goals are achieved.
  • Provides honest and timely feedback, development and coaching (to engagement teams and direct reports), and takes prompt action, where necessary, to ensure progressive development and learning opportunities are pursued.
  • Proactively proposes and implements ideas which contribute towards the strategic direction of IA.
  • Supports on assigned IA strategic initiatives.
  • Positively and proactively advocates change relating to all work practices.
  • Shares knowledge across the organization.
  • Constructively challenges peers to ensure that Mubadala Health IA performs at its optimal level.
  • Recognizes, rewards and celebrates collaborative behavior across the organization IA Team and Division.
Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Finance/Accounts/Business Management.
  • Five (5) years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a similar role in a Financial Institution , with experience in leading Technology and BCM internal audit activities.
  • A recognized certification such as CIA, CPA, ACA, ACCA, CISA, CFE or equivalent.
Desired:
  • Experience in Healthcare or Higher Education environment.
Exposure to multiple industries. * Fluency in written and spoken Arabic.
