Job Title Manager - Innovation

Description

To direct and manage the global group's innovation strategy to cultivate it's innovation culture.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
Standardizing research methods for novel ideas; strategic innovation; and introducing collaborative tools and methods that encourage creative thinking
Analyzing trends, market disruptions and searching for emerging new technology/market opportunities
Meeting with stakeholders at different levels to identify areas of innovation and growth
Developing an innovation portfolio and roadmap to derive growth and spur investment
Proposing innovative services and business models aimed at enhancing the company's offering and customers' satisfaction
Create MVPs or prototypes of new IT related products and services
Ensures the company is successful in taking its innovation to market in a timely and scalable way
Monitoring, analyzing, and communicating innovation metrics to senior management to seek opportunities to improve the company's innovative performance
Key interactions (Internal | External):
Internal: Finance | HR & Admin | Operations | Commercial | Sales
Education requirements:
Graduate/ Masters level education, Good computer skills (shipping software, EBMS, module, related logistics/ shipping/ marine certification, MS Office - Excel)
Language requirements:
Background and experience:
Proven experience in a similar position
Experience with innovation and design thinking
Familiarity with concepts such as AI, IOT, Cognitive computing and Block chain
Knowledge of automation, collaboration, and transaction management tools
Expertise in the field of product development/management
Understanding of the shipping industry and supply chain
Competencies and skills:
Strong communication and networking skills
Creative ability to think and plan
Strong business and technical understanding
Ability to make clear decisions and map out goals for the team
