When you think of food delivery in the MENA region, we\xe2\x80\x99d be pretty surprised if talabat didn\xe2\x80\x99t pop into your mind first! Since delivering our first order in Kuwait in 2004, we\xe2\x80\x99ve grown quite a lot over the past 17 years.
Today, we deliver hundreds of millions of food orders, grocery items and other products per year, to our customers in nine countries throughout the region with more than 3,000+ employees! Our food delivery business works with over 27,000 brands and almost 50,000 branches, while our q-commerce concept, talabat mart, now delivers groceries to customers in Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman Qatar, and the UAE in 30 minutes or less!

Since its inception in 2020, we have facilitated the donation of well over 1 million meals to those in need, as well as donated over $1.5 million to charity with the help of our partners and customers. talabat is part of Delivery Hero, the global leader in online food delivery and q-commerce.
This role will support the continued expansion into QCommerce by helping to unlock a 11bn EUR prescription market (TAM) in talabat\'s MENA present markets You will create key partnerships amongst healthcare facilities and telehealth providers by funneling any prescriptions being written at these points to talabat and thus grow the pharmacy top line and bottom line significantly.
As of today, no aggregator has successfully penetrated the digital landscape to disrupt the industry and bring patients the ability to order prescription medication. Currently there is less than 1% penetration of the market leaving a EUR 10.9bn opportunity for the taking.
  • You will focus on driving business insights on the Digital Health (in particular Pharma) when it comes to understanding the industry and go-to-market strategy
  • Enabling the ability to funnel sources of prescriptions (clinics/hospitals and telehealth providers) to order via talabat
    Today no standard operating or commercial model exists to make this happen, therefore this role will take a great deal of creativity and pain point discovery in order to forge a winning product with the variety of partners and stakeholders

    What\xe2\x80\x99s On Your Plate?
    • Provide industry insights that will help drive talabat go-to-market strategy
    • Outbound reaching to target partners (clinics, hospitals, telehealth, etc.) and pitching the unique value of our product, craft a winning proposal and negotiate/close contracts
    • Ensure that there is a constant pipeline of strategic partners within the focus areas of pharmacies, healthcare facilities and telehealth providers with which we are constantly driving commercial discussions with
    • Collaborate with product and tech teams to communicate market knowledge and industry requirements that will support talabat\'s position as a disruptor and innovator
    • Responsible for launching key partnerships amongst healthcare facilities and telehealth providers by enabling a product that will be funneling prescriptions to talabat for delivery
    • Become a subject matter expert by building knowledge on the industry and the business to identify key opportunities within pharma that merits a strategic drive
    • Ensure that all new partnerships and projects being launched are financially viable and logical

      What Did We Order?
      • Industry experience in a Commercial and Strategic function within Telehealth (preferably within Digital Health - Pharma)
      • Amazing presenter and storyteller
      • Project manager and ability to manage multiple stakeholders (internal and external) and moving pieces
      • Effective at extracting knowledge from various sources in order to form full understanding of a problem, industry and thus the value that can be created
      • Commercial acumen and creativity: crafting commercial structures to ensure a win-win scenario. Communicating in a clear way so that both the numbers and vision make sense and paint a compelling picture
      • Create profitable commercial structures (basic P&L knowledge) through new deal creation
