JOB PURPOSE:
Provide expertise and ensure extraction of maximum value out of TA'ZIZ subsidiaries ensuring excellence in HSE, People, Performance, Profitability and Efficiency.
Support the evaluation of new investments, participate in the JV negotiations, oversee and support the development of JV commercial terms, Corporate, Commercial and Technology Agreements, sales strategies, Commercial arrangements and marketing of products and other transaction related documents in order to ensure that the various subsidiaries of TA'ZIZ are run efficiently and in line with the vision, mission and strategic objectives of TA'ZIZ.
Monitor and support procurement/commercial activities and projects implementation in the TA'ZIZ while driving profitability and excellence through application of best practices.
Lead the interface and act as the main point of contact between TA'ZIZ, the shareholders and the different subsidiaries including the future, while representing TA'ZIZ within the various associated committees. Initiate, oversee, and govern techno-economic operations & technical support studies conducted by TA'ZIZ subsidiaries.
Provide strategic oversight of all the TA'ZIZ subsidiaries and support with analytical decision-making via efficient monitoring of performance and processes and propose improvements. Lead the benchmarking studies and ensure top quartile performance for all TA'ZIZ Assets.
Prioritize investment opportunities and capex expenditure to ensure maximum rate of return based on strategic analyses and financial metrics. Set priorities for the subsidiaries and report regular progress to TA'ZIZ management.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Asset Management
Lead to extract the maximum value out of TA'ZIZ portfolio.
Oversee the delivery of TA'ZIZ assets' KPIs against set targets.
Devise and control strategies and validate budgets and forecasts of TA'ZIZ.
Analyse and establish strategic agreements based on synergy opportunities between TA'ZIZ assets.
Oversee and monitor the progress of the TA'ZIZ subsidiaries/ventures performance against the set KPI's and addresses any performance objective or material variances ensuring compliance of TA'IZIZ's Performance. Ensure TA'ZIZ COPs/ Company Controlled Procedures/Local Laws and DOA are adhered
Review and challenge annual budget & business plans and submissions for effective fiscal discipline and ensuring adherence with leadership mandates
Facilitate and guide the discussions of shareholder/board committee. Ensure review and closure of action items arising out of such committee meetings
Manage arrangement of necessary approvals for submissions from TA'ZIZ subsidiaries related to HR, TA'ZIZ Group participations, Conferences, Coordination of query requests with Government bodies and other stakeholders and any other operational requests
Establish required committees related to financial, performance and/or technical matters to safeguard TA'ZIZ's interests ensuring timely decision making
Participate in governance of committees and follow-up on actions generated
Initiate the planning and implementation of asset development strategies based on new product introduction schedule, in line with the management directions.
Work to secure alignment between the different shareholders including investment proposals
Corporate Governance
Lead the review of TA'ZIZ and TA'ZIZ subsidiaries annual and five-year business plans related to HSE, Strategy, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Production/Operations, Reliability, Sustainability, Asset Integrity, Operation Integrity, availability, plants utilization, manpower and finance with emphasis on flaring, emissions, energy savings, maximizing plant utilization and optimizing maintenance costs to ensure alignment with corporate business plans. Ensure that the Assets utilization is maximized in-line with demand and prices
Reviews planned turnaround schedule for optimization across stakeholders and monitors actual progress
Participate in evaluating proposals/project studies for plant modification or improvements and comments on workability for implementation including review of budget, work plan and ensuring risk assessments are conducted. Follow-up on the modification project to ensure its appropriate implementation
Participate in audits and facilitate analysis of benchmarking studies to enhance competitiveness and profitability. Review studies related to operational issues of Plant Assets, HSE, Asset & Operation Integrity, Products Marketing, Manpower and organizational structure in order to increase efficiency and productivity of plants
Monitor stock and inventory reports and ensure optimal levels are maintained
Provide consultancy and support for technical and project aspects
Ensure implementation of long-term agreements in accordance with the terms and conditions of such contracts to avoid any deviations and discrepancies
Ensure evaluation and finalization of commercial terms and Development/Amendment of all Corporate, agreements including Commercial and Technology Agreements. Coordinate with relevant local, national, and international stakeholders for the successful completion of the Agreement related matter.
Supervision
Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.
Budgets
Provide input for preparation of the Section / Department budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives.
Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
Implement approved Section / Department policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the Section's / Department work programs in line with Company and International standards.
Performance Management
Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Section / Department in line with the Company Performance framework.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.
Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.
Reports
Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management.
COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal
Vice President, Asset Management for regular work information.
Shareholders - ADNOC & ADQ and the other team members within TA'ZIZ
External
Coordinates with Consultants to discuss strategy, change, system and procedure development.
