The Management Accountant plays a key role in delivering financial insights and support to the management team, facilitating informed decision-making and strategic planning. This position encompasses responsibilities such as budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, cost management, and the generation of internal financial reports.
Key responsibilities:
Budgeting and Forecasting
: Assist in the preparation and management of annual budgets and forecasts, providing insights into variances between budgeted and actual figures.
Financial Analysis
: Analyze financial performance and metrics, providing meaningful explanations and recommendations to enhance profitability and efficiency.
Cost Management
: Monitor and control costs throughout the organization, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Reporting
: Prepare internal financial reports for management, including profit and loss statements, cash flow projections, and variance analysis.
Performance Measurement
: Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and report on business performance, helping departments align with organizational goals.
Strategic Support
: Collaborate with various departments to support strategic initiatives, offering financial insights that inform business decisions.
Compliance
: Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards, maintaining accurate financial records and documentation.
System Development
: Participate in the development and implementation of management accounting systems and processes to enhance reporting capabilities.
Ad-Hoc Analysis
: Provide support for special projects and analysis, as needed, including evaluating investment opportunities and capital projects.
Qualifications:
Education
: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A professional qualification (such as CPA, CMA, or ACCA) is preferred.
Experience
: A minimum of 3 years of experience in management accounting, financial analysis, or a related field.
Technical Skills
: Proficiency in accounting software (Odoo), and advanced proficiency in Excel.
Analytical Skills
: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and make strategic recommendations.
Communication Skills
: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
Attention to Detail
: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and analysis.
