: The Management Accountant will look after the company's accounts, aid managerial planning and commercial decision-making tasks by providing appropriate financial information and undertaking related accounts administration. You will be recording and crunching numbers for internal and external review to help the CFO. Management Accountant performs a series of tasks to ensure the company’s financial security, handling essentially all financial matters and thus helping to drive the business’s overall management and strategy. Responsibilities:
Manage the daily finance operation activities of 2 entities within the group
Be responsible for the month-end closing activities, including posting journal entries, calculation of revenue for each project, cost allocation, review of contracts, etc.
Prepare the financial pack as per the current practices – this includes monthly/quarterly P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statements, Project P&L, Forecast, and Segment P&L
Assist in the preparation of annual statutory Financial Statements
Ensure supporting schedules/reconciliations are available for Balance Sheet items
Ensure that sales invoices of projects are issued on time
Resolve queries from clients by investigating the issue and coordinating with other departments
Monitor daily bank activities and AR collection status
Prepare bi-monthly schedule of payments to vendors
Design and ensure that proper controls are in place for the preparation of Financial Statements
Prepare financial schedules that may be required by department managers
Respond to queries from internal and external stakeholders
Monitor the status of projects under the entity to be managed
Supervise the daily task and career plan of the Finance Assistant
Propose initiatives to improve efficiency of the existing processes
Assist in the preparation of annual budget/monthly rolling forecast
Coordinate with IT support in resolving issues that may arise in ERP
Conduct periodic checks to ensure that ERP database is properly maintained
Handle other tasks that may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
Professional qualification CPA/CMA/CIMA
Audit experience with Big 4 preferred – Senior Associate level
Thorough knowledge of rules and application of VAT in UAE/KSA
Knowledge of practical application of controls in preparation of FS
Knowledge of Microsoft NAV is highly preferred
Knowledge of Project/Segment and Group Accounting
Knowledge of preparing Statutory Financial Statements up to Consolidation
TMT Sector experience will be an advantage
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Good organizational skills
Ability to understand complex business processes and activities
Flexible and structured work approach based on the job requirements
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate well with others and reconcile differences among resources/departments
Ability to speak and write in English is required; ability to speak and write in both English and Arabic is preferred
