We are seeking a proactive and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance operations in our wood factory. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in woodworking machinery, excellent leadership abilities, and a strong understanding of preventive maintenance systems. This role is critical in ensuring machine reliability, minimizing downtime, and maintaining a safe and productive working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise the maintenance team and coordinate daily maintenance operations for all woodworking equipment and facility infrastructure.
Perform and assign preventive and corrective maintenance tasks on machines such as CNC routers, edge banders, sanding machines, drills, beam saw, panel saw, mini fix, Air compressors, dust collector and other woodworking tools.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues to ensure timely repairs and minimal downtime.
Plan, schedule, and monitor maintenance activities in coordination with the production department.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, spare parts, machine servicing, and downtime reports.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and promote a culture of workplace safety.
Train and guide maintenance technicians to enhance technical skills and ensure consistent performance.
Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with suppliers for timely procurement of tools and materials.
Participate in the installation, calibration, and commissioning of new machinery or upgrades.
Recommend and implement improvements for equipment efficiency, energy savings, and cost reduction.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
10 years of hands-on experience in maintenance within a wood manufacturing or carpentry factory, with 4 years in a supervisory position.
Strong knowledge of woodworking machinery and equipment maintenance.
Skilled in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems.
Familiarity with pneumatic systems and dust collection/filtration systems used in wood factories.
Ability to read machine manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
Leadership and team management skills with a focus on performance and safety.
Experience with preventive maintenance systems and CMMS software (preferred).
Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in manufacturing settings.
Preferably can speak fluently Hindi
