Job Description

The Maintenance Manager will oversee all fire protection systems' maintenance activities including Fire Alarm, Fire Fighting, Emergency Lighting, and related systems across multiple client sites in Abu Dhabi. The role involves planning, scheduling, and ensuring the proper execution of preventive and corrective maintenance in compliance with Civil Defense regulations.

Key Responsibilities:1. Maintenance Operations Management

Plan and manage routine preventive maintenance and emergency corrective maintenance of fire protection systems. Supervise maintenance teams, technicians, and subcontractors. Ensure maintenance work complies with Abu Dhabi Civil Defense (ADCD) regulations and NFPA standards.

2. Scheduling & Coordination

Develop monthly and annual maintenance schedules. Coordinate with clients to arrange site visits and minimize disruption to their operations. Liaise with the Projects and Procurement departments for necessary material availability.

3. Compliance & Documentation

Ensure all systems are regularly inspected and certified according to ADCD compliance. Maintain proper service logs, reports, and maintenance documentation. Prepare documentation for Civil Defense inspections and attend when required.

4. Team Supervision & Development

Manage, train, and evaluate maintenance technicians. Monitor manpower allocation and ensure timely job completion. Ensure the team follows proper safety practices and uses PPE at all times.

5. Client Communication

Act as the main point of contact for maintenance clients. Handle client complaints or emergency calls effectively and professionally. Prepare maintenance quotations, AMC contracts, and renewal follow-ups.

6. Budget & Resource Management

Control maintenance costs within approved budgets. Ensure effective utilization of tools, equipment, and vehicles. Review supplier performance and service efficiency.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related field)

Experience:

Minimum 5-7 years in fire protection system maintenance, with at least 3 years in a managerial role in the UAE.

Certifications:

ADCD-approved engineer preferred; knowledge of NFPA codes and UAE Fire & Life Safety Code.

Skills:

Strong leadership and communication skills Proficiency in MS Office and maintenance management systems (CMMS) Fluent in English (Arabic is an advantage) Valid UAE Driving License
