Job Purpose:

To ensure optimal performance, reliability, and uptime of CNC machines and other production equipment by carrying out preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities while maintaining safety and quality standards in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform

routine preventive and corrective maintenance

on CNC machines (lathe, milling, turning, and machining centers). Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues in CNC and auxiliary equipment. Calibrate, align, and test CNC machines to ensure accuracy and performance as per manufacturer specifications. Maintain and update maintenance logs, machine history, and calibration records. Read and interpret technical drawings, machine manuals, and schematics for troubleshooting. Coordinate with production teams to minimize downtime and plan maintenance schedules. Replace defective components such as servo motors, spindles, drives, sensors, and control boards. Work closely with external service providers or OEMs for major repairs and upgrades. Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety and quality standards. Suggest improvements for machine reliability, efficiency, and process optimization.

Requirements:

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in

Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics Engineering

or related field. Minimum

3-5 years of hands-on experience

in maintenance of

CNC machines

(Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, or similar controls). Strong understanding of CNC systems, PLCs, servo drives, and automation components. Proficient in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical faults. Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and documentation. Ability to work independently and handle multiple maintenance priorities. Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in maintaining

CNC Turning Centers, Vertical/Horizontal Machining Centers, and EDM machines.

Familiarity with

Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems

used in CNC operations. Exposure to

Lean Maintenance / TPM

(Total Productive Maintenance) practices. Basic knowledge of programming and parameter setting for CNC controls.
