Experienced Maintenance Engineer responsible for planning, executing and improving preventive and corrective maintenance activities across building services, plant equipment and production/operational assets. The role ensures equipment reliability, safety compliance, efficient downtime management and cost-effective spare-parts control.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, schedule and carry out preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective/work-order repairs for mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration and related systems.
Diagnose and troubleshoot breakdowns; perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Manage and optimise the CMMS (log work orders, update asset history, schedule PMs).
Oversee and coordinate contractors and vendors for specialist repairs, inspections and overhauls; ensure scope, quality and HSE compliance.
Maintain spare parts inventory levels, prepare requisitions and control repair costs.
Perform routine inspections, safety checks and regulatory compliance tasks (fire systems, lifts, electrical distribution, etc.).
Support projects, installations and equipment commissioning; prepare technical specifications and assist procurement.
Prepare daily/weekly/monthly maintenance reports, KPI dashboards and handover documentation.
Promote safe working practices; ensure adherence to lockout/tagout, confined space, PPE and permit-to-work procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics / Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum
5 years
' hands-on maintenance experience in a relevant environment (facilities management, hospitality, manufacturing, MEP, FMCG, or industrial plant).
Proven experience with CMMS systems and MS Office.
Experience with HVAC, chillers, pumps, compressors, electrical distribution, PLCs and building management systems (BMS) is highly desirable.
Professional certifications or licenses (e.g., electrical license, refrigeration certification, welding certificate) preferred.
