Element has an opportunity for a Machinist to join our rapidly expanding Metallurgy team in UAE.

in this role, you will perform a variety of routine and non-routine machining assignments within the department assigned and ensure timely and accurate test results under direct supervision

This role will be based in Abu Dhabi, UAE

Responsibilities

Uses cutting equipment to prepare specimens for testing as dictated in customer specifications Design, sets-up and perform a variety of machining tasks according to customer specifications and requirements,under minimal supervision and technical input of a Department Supervisor, Senior Machinist or Engineer Maintain equipments and schedule preventative maintenance as required Gathers and record dimensions in accordance with quality assurance requirements by efficiently communicating with customers and other team members Work in varied shifts and also at other locations including customer sites, as deemed necessary by the Company Skills / Qualifications

ITI certification (Turner preferred),with 3-6 years of experience in a machining shop environment and working knowledge of laboratory safety

In-depth understanding & hands-on experience in specimen cutting and preparation including flame cutting, cutting, milling, turning, grinding, polishing along with experience in operating an EDM

In depth of understanding related to machining concepts, measuring instruments and dimensional concepts, and able to use forklifts

Strong computer skills especially in MS Word and Excel, able to apply concepts of basic algebra & geometry and capable of effectively communicating and recording data in the sample receipt process

Able to lift <25kgs often, and > 25 kgs. on occasion with assistance, while standing on feet for long periods of time#LI-SR1 Company Overview
