Our client, a large utilities and renewables company is looking for an M&A professional to join their team in UAE. You will be responsible for actively sourcing, researching, analysing, and evaluating potential investment opportunities and monitoring the financial performance of the portfolio of companies.

Responsibilities include:

- Actively source, research, analyse and evaluate a variety of direct investment opportunities contributing to the overall evaluation process
- Sourcing and leading deals across multiple geographies
- Building and maintaining financial models, evaluating investment proposals, contributing to due diligence and supporting in the structuring and negotiation of investments
- Develop complex dynamic financial models and valuation analysis including DCF, LBO, precedent transactions, and comparable company analysis
- Take part in due diligence activities which include the appraisal of the company\'s past and projected financial performance, quality of its management teams, investment merits and risks, expected returns, etc.
- Execution of investment agreements and transaction-related legal documentation
- Prepare investment proposal presentations and memorandums to be presented at the investment committee level
- Monitor and analyse investments in the existing portfolio
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting and board/IC materials as needed

Requirements:

- Bachelor\'s Degree in Finance or Economics, MBA preferred; CFA would be advantageous
- Minimum of 6 years in investments or strategy consulting with utilities /renewables sectors
- Thorough understanding of valuation methods including the building of financial models
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
