Job Description

: The Logistics Manager is responsible for the scope development, scope management and commercial performance of the project to meet project goals and objectives. Plans and defines program goals and devises methods to accomplish them; develops in-depth knowledge of client objectives, contract terms, and corporate policies. Responsibilities:
  • Oversees the development of wider worker accommodation strategy (in conjunction with Client) and oversees development of worker accommodation (in conjunction with construction team and the investors providing the accommodation).
  • Support construction team in the production of construction phasing and logistics plans.
  • Managing access and egress to accommodation plots, managing utility works in these areas.
  • Acts as the Client’s expert on the implementation of NEOM accommodation and welfare standards and champions these to ensure worker accommodation and welfare conditions commensurate with a world class project.
  • Working in conjunction with the HSE Team,
  • Provide safety leadership - champion Parsons’ ‘Own Zero’ safety standards on site, especially regarding vehicle movements.
  • Inspects and reports upon Contractor worker welfare provisions.
  • Ensures fire safety.
  • Worker busses – pick up and drop off.
  • Working as part of the PMC logistics team the Logistics Manager (Accommodation) assists with planning and management of unusually complex construction logistic problems and provides solutions that are creative yet practical. Leads on the implementation of ideas to drive delivery.
  • Contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas.
  • Project manage, when required, small packages of enabling works or supervise and report on enabling works done by contractors.
  • Supervises third part contractors who provide security services, batching plants and other services that enable project delivery.
Education and Experience
  • Degree in logistics management, engineering or related discipline with minimum 15 years’ experience.
  • Proven experience of working within logistics environment in an austere environment.
  • Proven experience of facilities management / accommodation management.
  • Safety Qualification / Awareness Training.
  • Ability to manage and work in a team, deliver objectives and targets.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Strong Contractor Management skills.
