Job Summary: Looking for a Logistics Manager in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE)

Job Key Details:

• Develop and implement effective strategies to optimize the supply chain management process
• Manage and oversee the entire logistics operations, including procurement, transportation, warehousing as well as inventory management
• Plan and schedule the distribution of goods, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries to customers or designated locations
• Analyze and select suitable vendors and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms and conditions
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels, anticipating demand and ensuring adequate stock availability
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to assess logistics performance and identify areas for improvement
• Oversee the maintenance and utilization of transportation equipment and facilities to maximize productivity and minimize downtime
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance operational efficiency and ensure compliance with industry regulations and quality standards
• Train and mentor logistics team members, providing guidance, support as well as performance feedback
• Conduct any other related tasks as may be required

Job Qualifications and Experience

• Should hold a Bachelor\'s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of related working experience required
• Strong knowledge of logistics principles, practices and procedures, including transportation, warehousing as well as inventory management
• Good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in using logistics management software and systems for inventory tracking, reporting, and analysis
• Strong knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards in logistics operations
• Strong leadership abilities, with the aptitude to motivate and guide a team toward achieving common objectives
• Record of successful distribution and logistics management
• Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff
