Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Logistics Manager (Marine) to join our team! In this role you will get to join a construction supervision team of marine professional to perform logistics management services on a large scale marine development.
What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Be Doing: Logistics Manager (Marine) shall ensure full implementation of the project specific Safe Logistics Management Systems which should include, but not limited to, below:
Coordinates in conjunction with the project leadership, client and contractor the development of marine policies and overall objectives to cover the services of transporting of personnel, materials and equipment to offshore locations for delivery operations. This includes the review of the contractor\xe2\x80\x99s logistics requirements in tandem with the client to advise on best practices.
Evaluate research and studies related to the shipping industry especially for marine vessels, equipment and machinery pertaining to the existing fleet modification, supplementary and additional ship acquirement strategy. It is key to understand what you need in order to delivery a major marine program.
Communicate with the international and local marine legislative bodies regarding new and amended rules and regulations.
Set and implement Marine Logistics Department objectives to support Company\'s business planning and development.
facilitate preparation of logistics marine strategy towards major works by preparing specifications, scope of work, equipment review, and contractor plans.
Provide key marine logistics feedback to the client & advise best practices
Safe Road diversions implementation
Safe road/traffic arrangements to ensure safety of the project and public vehicles.
Any activities and intrusion to the public roads making changes to the original conditions of the public roads must be done safely by the implementation of typical safe logistics arrangements and by Competent Project Representatives with proper and safe arrangements (barriers, advance safety signage, flasher lights implemented immediately ensuring safety for all public roads users.
Regularly maintain hoarding/fencing/barricading/multilingual safety signage and expand in accordance with the planned activities progress.
Any additional arrangement deemed necessary including laydown yards, site internal roads, dust suppression, water supplies provisions, project services provision, site accesses maintenance etc.\xe2\x80\xa6
What Required Skills You\xe2\x80\x99ll Bring:
Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering (or related field)
15+ years of related field engineering experience, or a broad general engineering background is required
UAE based experience is required
Potential to perform in a lead capacity
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Familiarity of industry practices and regulations are required
Must also possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and be able to select and apply appropriate engineering software for use on project.
