Logistics Document Controller (freight Forwarding Background)

Job Description

We are looking for a Document Controller to join our team. As a document controller, you will be in charge of all controlled documents for our company, making sure everyone is on the same page when they need to be. You will go through all controlled documents and make edits, updates, and check for accuracy. Maintaining all freight forwarding and shipping-related documents. Responsibilities: Maintaining documents like delivery order, bill of lading, bill of entry, and certification Maintaining Import and Export related documents for freight forwarding. Should have Proper knowledge of Export bookings, Shipping Instructions, and Bill of Landings Process. Good communication skills while coordinating with Customers, Carriers, and the Back office related to Bill of ladings, invoice issuance and disputes, and other related issues. Can work independently and manage to close his task in the given period. Coordinating with Accounts for payment related and Bill Lading issuance. Ensure that the Bill of ladings along with other documents must deliver to customers on time, Once the Vessel Sailed. Create and manage document hierarchy and process systems Take charge of all document identification, classification, and filing Frequently conduct document audits confirming they are current and accurately reflect recorded evidence Check and edit incoming documents and prepare for distribution Confirm delivery of documents to proper personnel The ability to detect and solve problems. Teamwork and an aptitude for coordinating your work with others. Attention to detail. Organizing payments or processing transactions on behalf of the client, such as freight charges. Coordinating with transport team regarding the delivery of containers on time to customers. Requirements: 2 or 3 plus years of experience as a Document controller in the Freight forwarding and Shipping Industry. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Google drive. Bachelor's degree in business management, administration, or related field Extremely organized and efficient and attention to detail. Proven skill for creating and implementing controlled document processes Strong oral and written communication skills Able to prioritize and delegate tasks Outstanding time-management Strong interpersonal skills Job Type: Full-time Ability to commute/relocate:
