Job Title: Logistics Coordinator

Location: UAE

Experience Required: Minimum 5 years (UAE-based)

Preferably candidate who has immediate availability

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Logistics Coordinator to manage and oversee the importation of products from multiple international markets. The role involves coordinating end-to-end logistics operations, ensuring compliance with UAE import regulations, and negotiating with logistics service providers to achieve cost-effective and timely deliveries.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience handling imports by air and sea, in-depth knowledge of the UAE logistics landscape, and a proven track record working either within an importing business or a logistics service provider in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the importation of goods from international suppliers, primarily from China, Hong Kong, the Netherlands, the USA, and other global markets Coordinate shipments via air freight and sea freight, including scheduling, documentation, and delivery timelines Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, and clearing agents in the UAE Ensure full compliance with UAE import regulations and customs requirements Handle all import-related documentation, including invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, HS codes, and customs clearance paperwork Manage and ensure required product certifications and approvals, including but not limited to: TRA (Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority) MOIAT (Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology)

Monitor shipment status, resolve delays, and proactively manage logistics risks Negotiate rates, contracts, and service terms with logistics service providers to optimize cost and efficiency Maintain strong relationships with local and international logistics partners Support internal teams with accurate logistics timelines, cost breakdowns, and compliance guidance

Required Skills & Competencies

Strong negotiation skills with proven ability to secure competitive rates and favorable terms In-depth knowledge of the UAE logistics and customs environment Strong understanding of logistics service providers in the UAE (freight forwarders, couriers, shipping lines, and clearing agents) Excellent understanding of UAE import regulations, certifications, and compliance processes Ability to manage multiple shipments and suppliers simultaneously Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure

Experience & Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in the UAE, either: Within a company that regularly imports goods, or Working with a logistics or freight forwarding company

Hands-on experience managing imports via air and sea freight Proven experience dealing with customs clearance and regulatory approvals in the UAE Familiarity with HS codes, customs valuation, and duty structures Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field is preferred
