Logistic / Distribution Officer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Logistic/Distribution Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the transportation, storage, and distribution of goods to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Plan and coordinate logistics operations, including scheduling shipments, arranging transportation, and managing inventory levels.
Communicate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and transportation providers to ensure timely pickup and delivery of goods.
Monitor and track shipments using logistics software or tracking systems, and provide updates to internal stakeholders and customers as needed.
Manage warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods according to established procedures and safety standards.
Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies, and ensure accurate record-keeping of stock levels and transactions.
Coordinate with sales, purchasing, and customer service teams to fulfill orders and resolve any issues related to product availability or delivery.
Optimize distribution routes and transportation methods to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety regulations, and company policies throughout the logistics process.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to streamline operations and enhance customer satisfaction.
Supervise and provide guidance to warehouse staff and logistics personnel as needed.
Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of logistics principles, transportation modes, and inventory management techniques.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in using logistics software, tracking systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
Analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards in logistics and distribution.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping and documentation.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
