Logistic Coordinator

Job Description

Job Responsibilties:

1. Plan, organize, and prioritize import, export, and cross-trade shipments in accordance with contractual terms and project timelines.

2. Coordinate logistical operations across various modes of transportation, including land, sea, air, and courier services, to ensure timely and efficient delivery.

3. Negotiate freight rates with forwarders and shipping agents, comparing quotations to ensure cost-effectiveness and reliability.

4. Prepare and manage all required shipping and customs documentation, including invoices, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and bank submissions under Letters of Credit (LC).

5. Track and monitor the movement of shipments and inventory, ensuring timely cargo release and maintaining accurate data for operations.

6. Communicate with vendors to confirm cargo readiness, plan shipments, and ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials.

7. Provide clear instructions to freight forwarders and oversee the preparation and receipt of all shipping documents.

8. Handle container bookings, assign trucking services, and ensure smooth coordination of transportation resources.

9. Maintain accurate records of purchases, sales, and logistical transactions, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.

10. Verify freight forwarders' invoices against quotations and submit them to the accounts department for payment processing.

11. Oversee customs clearance procedures, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations, including environmental and safety standards.

12. Develop and implement logistics plans and schedules to optimize transportation routes, minimize costs, and avoid delays.

13. Address and resolve logistics challenges, such as shipment delays, equipment breakdowns, and regulatory issues, while implementing corrective actions to prevent future disruptions.

14. Ensure all logistics activities adhere to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards, particularly in handling hazardous materials.

15. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of logistics operations to identify and mitigate risks.

16. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and logistics service providers to ensure reliable and cost-effective services.

17. Prepare detailed logistics performance reports, including costs, delivery times, and service levels, while identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

18. Support emergency logistics planning and rapid resource mobilization in response to operational incidents, such as equipment failures or natural disasters.

Eligibility

1. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related fiel.

2. Minimum 4 years of relevent experince in logistic.

3. Familiarity with customs regulations, shipping procedures, and inventory management.

4. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure
