Job Description

1.

Sort and process linens

- Collect soiled linens, sort them by type and color, and process them through washing, drying, and ironing in coordination with the laundry agent. Examine clean linens for tears, stains, or other imperfections and set aside damaged items for repair or replacement.

2.

Laundry Coordination

- Coordinate with laundry agent for washing, drying, and iorning, check quality of finished items received from laundry agent/contractor before accepting the work done and reports damages for any items incurred by the laundry contractor to immediate supervisor.

3.

Inventory Handling

- Maintain and organize well-documented inventory of linens, including sheets, towels, and other textiles to ensure all items are available as per the requirement and make records of all outgoing and incoming items. Count and organize clean linens, stock storage areas, and conduct monthly inventory of all items to track usage and identify any variances.

4.

Linen Distribution -

Assemble and deliver clean linens and uniforms to various outlets or restock them in housekeeping store for distribution. Report lost linens and handle lost and found items according to established procedures.

5.

Other Tasks

- Keep the linen room and store areas clean, organized, and sanitized. Report any damages, missing or quality issues from the laundry agent to the supervisor immediately. Carry out any other duties required by the Head of Housekeeping or Housekeeping Coordinator.
