Job Description

The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking breakfast items according to cafe standards, ensuring consistency, quality, and timely service. The role requires strong knowledge of breakfast dishes, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently during peak hours.

Key Responsibilities



Prepare and cook all breakfast menu items (eggs, sandwiches, pancakes, omelettes, etc.). Set up and stock the station with necessary ingredients, utensils, and equipment. Ensure proper cooking techniques, portion control, and presentation as per recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation at all times. Follow all food safety and hygiene practices (HACCP). Assist in inventory control: checking stock, reporting shortages, proper storage of ingredients. Support kitchen team during busy hours or when needed. Follow instructions from Head Chef/Sous Chef and maintain quality standards. Maintain safe work environment and operate equipment responsibly.

Requirements



Proven experience as Line Cook or Breakfast Cook (preferably in a cafe or casual dining). Strong knowledge of breakfast cooking techniques. Ability to work fast and maintain quality under pressure. Good communication and teamwork. Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation. Flexibility to work early morning shifts.
