Job Description

Position Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Lighting Engineer to design, develop, and implement lighting systems for a variety of applications. You'll collaborate with designers, architects, and engineers to deliver cutting-edge, energy-efficient, and visually stunning lighting solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and specify lighting systems for interior and exterior environments. Develop lighting layouts, photometric calculations, and technical documentation. Select appropriate fixtures and technologies for projects based on functionality, aesthetics, sustainability, and cost. Coordinate with architects, interior designers, and project managers to integrate lighting systems seamlessly into overall designs. Perform site visits and inspections to ensure proper installation and performance. Stay updated on lighting industry trends, codes, and sustainable practices. Support commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of lighting systems. Assist with energy code compliance and LEED certification processes when applicable.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Lighting Design, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in lighting design or engineering. Proficiency in lighting design software (e.g., AGi32, DIALux, Revit, AutoCAD). Strong knowledge of lighting technologies, controls systems, and energy codes. Creative approach with a strong sense of aesthetics and technical excellence. Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills. [Optional: Certification such as LC (Lighting Certified) is a plus.]
